Rihanna has become the first-ever artist to earn eight number ones from one album in the history of Billboard’s Dance Club Song chart.

Her ‘Anti’ album was first launched in 2016, but it’s still making waves in the music industry, with ‘Consideration’ becoming the latest track to soar to the top of the charts.  ‘Anti’s record-breaking run actually began back on April 23, 2016, when ‘Work’ went to the top.

The run of eight Dance Club Songs No. 1s from ANTI  began on April 23, 2016, with the coronation of "Work," featuring Drake. During the set's span of leaders, she's added two No. 1s not on the set: "This Is What You Came For," by Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna, which posted a two-week reign on July 9 and July 16, 2016, and "Wild Thoughts," by DJ Khaled featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, which topped the Aug. 26, 2017-dated chart.

Man reportedly abandons visually impaired wife in Port Harcourt, absconds with their daughter and maid

A man named Emeka Idika has reportedly abandoned his visually impaired wife in Port Harcourt, and absconded with their maid and only child, a daughter, leaving her stranded with no source of income to pay her bills or rent of their home. She's now crying out to kind hearted Nigerians to assist her.

VISUALLY IMPAIRED MOTHER OF ONE CRY OUT FOR HELP.
Her name is Margret Uko Ekanem. She is totally blind. Age -- 34. She has a National Diploma in Mass Communication. A native of Akwaibom State but resides in Portharcourt.
The whole Odessy started in 2009 while she was doing her one year internship with a media house in Poryharcourt. Her path crossed with that of Emeka Idika -- A media Practitioner himself. The relationship led to marriage which was formalised on the 19th of May 2012 in a court registry here in Portharcourt.
The Union was blessed with a bouncing baby girl ---- Divine by name. Emeka Idika perceived the disability of his wife as a gold - mine to gain compassion and goodwill from members of the society. Soon Car and other material supports began to come in from people who were moved by the story of his blind wife.
It appeared that Emeka had no true love for his wife. He only wanted to used her handicap to achieve certain means. He disrespected the wife and turned her into a punching bag. She abused and insulted her and even beat her up when she was nine months pregnant. Each time Margaret complained about Emeka's shameful and amorous escapades with other women, it earned her severe beating of her life. Emeka usually called her names and warned her never to complain as it was a favour he rendered by leaving behind other beautiful and complete women to marry a blind witch like her.
Last year, Emeka secretly packed out of the house with the house help. His present residence is not known to Margret. She was abandoned all alone in a sprawling three bedroom flat. The rent of the house has already expired and the landlord had served her summon to vacate the apartment. She appealed to the landlord for time extension to enable her arrange for where to move in as she would be homeless if thrown out of the house now, but the landlord refused. In fact, the Landlords desperation to throw her out of the house was clearly shown in the manner he cut off water supply to the flat and electricity. In few days from now, Margret will be homeless. She has nowhere to go as both Mum and Dad are late.
On the month of June 2017, Emeka conspired with the daughter's cab driver to take her away from the mother. It was a psychological blow on Margret as her daughter is her bundle of joy and consolation. She hasn't seen her daughter again. She reported the matter to FIDA but all her efforts were frustrated by the compromised system. In her words " They were bunch of ' Scammists' who could be easily bought over by money". She lamented that there is so much compromise, ineptitude, mediocrity, and rot in the Justice system of this country. She said she was sorry to say it but that's facts.
Margret is therefore appealing to DPA and any one that hear her story to help her secure the custody of her only child and to save her from a life of dependency by giving her a Job or something that can enable her attain financial independence in order to help her take good care of her daughter.

Lovebirds, Justin Bieber, 23, and Selena Gomez, 25, looked like they were the ones getting married in Jamaica instead of Justin's father Jeremy Bieber and his girlfriend, Chelsey Rebelo.

The couple packed on the PDA during the wedding reception in Montego Bay on Monday. They were spotted kissing and cuddling as they stole private moments away from the other wedding guests.
The wedding was reportedly an intimate affair with only 30 guests. During the party guests slipped into beachwear as they lounged at a resort soaking up the sun and sipping cocktails. Bieber and Selena joined the guests to change from the pink outfits they wore for the official ceremony into beachwear.

EFCC questions Nigeria’s former Army Chief Ihejirika over involvement in Dasukigate

Retired lieutenant-general of the Nigerian Army, Mr Ihejirika arrived at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 21, and was subsequently ushered into an interrogation room.

The 62 year old led the Nigerian Army from September 2010 to January 2014 when he was dropped by President Goodluck Jonathan over his handling of the Boko Haram war.

His visit to the EFCC comes about 20 months after President Muhammadu Buhari said Mr. Ihejirika and others should be prosecuted after they were indicted by a panel of inquiry that probed the arms scandal, now widely dubbed the Dasukigate.

“He is being questioned as related to the procurement of arms and ammunition during the time he held sway as Chief of Army Staff. He will be released on administrative bail as soon as preliminary interrogations are over” an EFFC official told PREMIUM TIMES under strict anonymity.

Ihejirika said he didn’t immediately have answers to some of the questions thrown at him and sought the permission of his interrogators to go back home and retrieve more details relating to the arms purchase affairs. The arms panel suspected Mr. Ihejirika of using family members and fronts to procure arms contract.

He  was eventually released on administrative bail on Wednesday night. He was asked to return on Thursday.

''You Can’t Censor The Media'' PDP tells Lai Mohammed …insists FG, APC peddling Cooked-Up Performance Indices

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, cannot censor the media to downplay the failures of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led incompetent Federal government.

The party said APC's attempt to gag the media is pathetic, as no amount of censorship or bandying of false figures would stop Nigerians from reflecting on the real state of affairs in our country today.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Thursday, described as scandalous that the Federal Government is attempting to slander the media and sway it with cooked-up figures, forgetting that media practitioners are also Nigerians, who are direct witnesses and victims of the woes of the APC misrule.

Nigerians were shocked to watch the Minister of Information attempting to censor the media and sell unverifiable statistics to the media when a TV Continental (TVC) team visited his office on Tuesday.
We hope the minister saw the faces of his audience as he was reeling out his faulty statistics.
Nigerians know that the APC has failed and that the Buhari-led Presidency is directly responsible for the collapse of our economy, which was thriving under the PDP.
They know that the torrents started buffeting the nation from May 29, 2015 and no amount of propaganda and futile efforts to censor the media by the APC will change the facts.
While we note the minister’s snap that the media should contextualize their reporting, we ask; how else should the media contextualize the sudden collapse of the economy with the naira tumbling from N197/I USD in 2015 when PDP handed over power, to N360-N400/1USD, without placing the blame at the door steps of President Muhammadu Buhari and his dysfunctional APC?
How else should the media contextualize the fact that under the Buhari Government, over 8 million Nigerians lost their jobs between 2016 to 2017; 16 million were unemployed, 18 million more were underemployed, while another 27.44 million refused to work in 2016 for various reasons related to frustration in the polity?
How should the media contextualize the soaring costs of food, the rise in inflation rate from the N13.7% in May 2015 to the current 15.37%; the rise in fuel price from N86.50 under the PDP to N300-N400 per liter under the APC; the escalating of our foreign debt to $15.2bn, representing a 40% increase under President Buhari’s three years in office in addition to the pile-up of domestic debt which has scared away many contractors off their sites?
How would the APC want the media to contextualize the slaughtering of Nigerians in various parts of the country by marauders while its Federal Government refused to take any concrete steps to bring the perpetrators to book?
Sadly, instead of the APC to be sober and remorseful for its failures and seek help from well-meaning Nigerians, it is busy reeling out false indices while monitoring phone calls of journalists and other Nigerians under the guise of fight against hate speech.
In all, the facts speak for themselves, the APC has wrecked our nation and its resort to propaganda and false indices will not help as Nigerians are now rallied with the repositioned PDP, ahead of the 2019 general elections, to rescue and return the prosperous days when our citizens once held their heads tall among other citizens of the world.

One Urevbu Collins Aghogho, a Delta State University, Abraka graduate from Warri, last Sunday killed a big snake and used it to make pepper soup.

"Them said this meat(snake meat) cures back  pains  and  also  makes  his  banana to  be  strong.." he wrote.
